And again another year is over. Oh, what a year it was! One that noone would have imagined. When I was a child and bored during lessons I imagined which historic events I would expirience in my lifetime and be assured I never thought about a pandemic.

For weeks facial masks have been a big issue in the sewing and embroidering groups as they are hard to come by in shops. A couple of designers offer ebooks and embroidery designs for free. Interested I have followed the discussion and now I have to start with the making as from tomorrow on it is the citizens duty to wear such a mask when shopping or using public transport.

The situation is serious. The new corona virus is upon our door, there are first cases here in the city and the open borders are not longer open but are controlled. Depending on the time of day it is difficult to buy toilet paper, noodles or flour in the supermarket even though everybody is supposed to have a privat stock of everything necessary for 10 days on recommendation of the German Ministery for the Peoples’ safety.
