Last Thursday I found the Starry Night sew-along by Flowerdog Designs which is almost over.
At Starry Night I first thought of the famous painting by van Gogh, nd expected a variations like those by String Theory Fabric Art, i.e. this Star Wars Version.
Actually it is a quilt with christmas trees and stars as shown in the title which is much easier to do and more seasonal. All in all there are 8 different blocks, very nice for using up all those scraps.
The sew-along startet at the beginning of August, but as I just found it, I will do it by myself now, as there is still ample time until Christmas. Every week one block that is my plan. The original plan is a big square quilt for which several versions of each of the 8 blocks are needed. But I will make a smaller version of it as a table runner with only one or two versions of each design.
Every block is designed for a square hoop and comes in 5 different sizes. I will do the 5 inch version as this fits my smallest square hoop perfectly.
