On my way to work I listened to the radio and heart that today is the day of head waiter and tips. And I immediately had to think of my son, who asked at the beginning of my embroidery carreer more than 2 years ago that I made him for carneval the dress of a waiter.
He had a very decisive opinion of how it should be: he wanted a man’s apron in his favorite colour – green, embroidered with a coffee cup. Addionially he wanted a bow tie as well as a cravat. Although it has been some time since then he still loves his outfit and wears it often on weekends serving us breakfast as our maitre d’. And he still cannot decide whether to wear a bow tie or a cravat so he wears them both at the same time.
The apron I made from scratch extra long, so that it would take some time to outgrow it. Instead of closing it with a string he can close and open it quickly as I used velcro. Bow tie and cravat also close with velco – both patterns are by pattydoo. The embroidery design is by EmbroiderLibrary. The shirt with embroidery is store-bought.
Isn’t he the cutest waiter ever?
